window treatments-2 questions-
any recommendations out there for a window treatments company? Looking for mostly those horizontal blinds that look like wood and maybe a few curtain types for the living room....
also, if you have the wood or faux wood blinds, is there any maintenance required for them? Is there a benefit to having one versus the other? Like, would the wood ones expand and contract with the weather, or turn yellow from the sun beating on them?

We have faux wood blinds from Home Depot. My DH cut and installed them himself. No special maintenance required besides just cleaning them because they get dusty.

Re: window treatments-2 questions-
We have the Faux Wood blinds from Blinds to Go. They have a great sale going on right now. Buy One get one 50% off
We have had them for 3 years and have no complaints. We also had them in our old house and loved them there too (which is why we got them again)
I dust them with swiffer duster, and clean them w Vinegar & Water when I feel they need it. My 100 lb. Rottweiler jumps at the front window CONSTANTLY and the blinds are a mess... I just fix them straight again- no damage at all and still look new. They can sure take a beating. Plus the Faux wood was a 1/4 of the price of reg. wood.
Highly recommend
ETA: I have the Antique white ones. I think they call them Linen white
