Will your baby be a great grandchild?
Leo and I were talking about this over dinner.
On my dad's side it will be the first, my mom's side the second.
On Leo's dad's side, the 5th
ready...on Leo's mom's side, the 34th great grandchild. They are baby making machines over there. They start really young.

Our  will be the 2nd great grandchild on my side - (my Mom's mom)
He will be the 11th great-grandchild on Dh's side (his Dad's Mom) They also start VERY young on that side of the family as well

You are all VERY lucky. Molly has great grandparents, of course, but all are in Heaven. She is named after her 2 great grandmothers who I know love her from above

Sadly, no. In fact, since my MIL passed away in Nov, my kids only have one grandparent. But its more than some kids have and shes not a great grandmother but is a GREAT grandmother if you KWIM. I wish my grandfather (or even my father) got to see my kids, he would have loved them.

Luckily my baby will have 5 great grandparents. Both sets of my grandparents are still alive and DH's grandma on his dad's side. It will be the first great grandchild for my grandparents on my mom's side and for DH's grandma. Unfortunately baby will not have any grandpas.

my little girl will be my moms and dads 2nd grandchild in three months and thast it just 2 grandbabys on that side. On my dh side she will be the third grandchild and third GREAt grandchild!

Sadly no. My grandparents all passedmany years ago and DH's last granparent (grandma) passed 2 months ago. I know they will all be looking down on the baby though. I am lucky that Grandma (as we all call her) was able to celebrate at our wedding and knew I was pregnant. That was all she wanted, to become a great grandma. We always had to tell her that she already was the greatest grandma out there

Sorry to butt in on your board, but when I have a baby he/she will have a great-great-grandmother
My sister had baby (that shares her name with her great-great-grandmother), so now there are 5 generations in my family!
