Will my dr take a PG test tomorrow?
Hi girls! My doctor appointment is tomorrow. He is going to take blood to check my hormone levels since my DH's SA came back ok (not perfect but nothing too terrible). AF is due on Sat.
The doctor said he may give me Clomid to take a few days after AF comes. Dont have the details of this yet.
I am wondering if he will take a preggo test. It is probably too early but I would love a BFP so I dont have to do this anymore!
I went to the Dollar Tree yesterday but there were no tests! I have a FR test left over from a 3 pack I bought in June but I wont take an expensive test until AF is late.

I am not sure the answer to your ques- you can always ask the Dr but I am not sure how early you can test in blood.

You can ask. Most Drs wont test until 12-14 DPO.
It never hurts to ask though. GOOD LUCK!!

Thank you! I have read some old posts about Dollar Tree tests and some girls said that these are the same tests their doctors use. I am hoping that they do one of those tests since I am there but who knows. I am going to tell the doctor that there is a chance I could me PG this cycle.
I'll post an update tomorrow!

if you are having bloodwork the doctor should run a beta pregnancy test, not a urine test. if its early the beta test will be able to pick up a pregnancy before the urine test will.

Thanks. I guess it would take a few days to get the results from a beta pregnancy test? A doctor appointment in the 2ww is adding to my craziness!!!!!!!!!!

it depends how your doctor sends them to the lab. a beta at an RE comes back that day if done in the morning, or next day if done in the afternoon. you should ask when they draw the blood if they will run a beta and when it will come back.

Both times I was at doc and they drew blood a pg test was done..first time I didn't even know untill she gave me the negative result...second time I was expecting the negative and I was right
