Will I be this anxious for 9 months?
I am 8 weeks 1 day and my first appointment is Halloween so needless to saw I am bugging out. I do not really have any symptoms excepts I gained weight (I quit smoking so that helped it), my nipples are sore (sorry for TMI), I broke out a bit, I am extra crazy/moody (my poor dh) and all I want to do is sleep. Everytime I go to the bathroom I check for blood (again sorry for tmi) because at least twice a week I have horrible realistic dreams that I lost the baby. Google is my worst enemy because I have just about convinced myself I could have an empty sac/blighted ovum because of my lack of symptoms. I can't stand waiting.... all I want to do is make sure there is a heartbeat Every little cramp I get drives me crazy with worry. I am def. a worrier to begin with but I am worse than usual. Will I be this insane for 9 months? Sorry for the rambling
eta because I can't spell

Re: Will if be this anxious for 9 months?
i know how you feel - many of us do i will say the further along you get the more at ease you get - even though i still got nervous before all the appointments. the 12 week nt scan helped put my mind at ease a little, but i was still neurotic when i finally started to feel the baby around 20 weeks that helped, a lot because it was a way for me to know what was going on in there. if i didnt feel baby, i would have some oj and lay down and hope to start some movement which always seemed to work
hang in there - it gets easier esp once you are out of the first trimester
eta - stay off google! and enjoy being symptom free i was symptom free for dd1 and it was amazing this pregnancy im 10 weeks along and have had a ton of issues...aside from nausea, i actually did wake up covered in blood last week...went for a sono and baby is fine thankfully but google is the enemy for all preggos!

Will I be this anxious for 9 months?
tell me abt it. I finally am preg almost 6 weeks now thru an IVF so I am esp on total freak out mode. I even refuse to consider myself preg yet as I am sure that this isn't really happening and I don't want to get disappointed again. my first ultrasound with my RE is this Friday and that is all I think abt. Me and DH have the biggest anxieties that the sac is emptyandup until now all false blood test results (3 or them this far all saying I'm preg LOL). my symptoms are - HUNGRY. I am hungry all the time. I am 90% of the time eating healthy, but still how can I be hungry all the time?

I agree with jams92 STAY OFF OF GOOGLE! It will cause you to worry needlessly. I found that as I progress I am less anxious. Now that I can feel the baby moving it is reassuring that she is doing OK in there.

Re: Will I be this anxious for 9 months?
I was the exact same way. I was freaking out because I didn't have any morning sickness by eight weeks, and Google said that most women get it by that time. Well, lo and behold, week nine came, and nausea hit me like a ton of bricks. Try your best to stay off of Google and enjoy this time.

Will I be this anxious for 9 months?
I am 13 weeks today and still nervous most days. The 12 week scan did help to put me at ease somewhat. Like you, I had no real symptoms other than bloat and fatigue. Now both of those have subsided.
I figure I will be this neurotic for the REST of MY LIFE. Once this kid is born, I think it will be worse!!!
Like PP said, google is evil. I literally look up pregnancy stuff all the time and need to stop.

I go to the Dr. tomorrow and I CANNOT wait. It is SO hard waiting to see/hear that all is well with the little bean. Oh, and I know it's difficult but try not to Google!

Will I be this anxious for 9 months?
I'm with you ladies! I'm a little over 5 weeks today and i'm terrified that this is all false. I have slight nausea occasionally but nowhere near as bad as I did with my first and other then tired and hungry, I feel good. Since I felt different the first time i'm freaking out that something is wrong and now I have to wait 3 weeks before I will know anything!!

Re: Will I be this anxious for 9 months?
I have a history of several losses ranging from 4-17wks. With my successful pregnancy that brought me my DS, I lost his twin just shy of 8wks and then had preterm labor issues at 22wks. Needless to say, I was very nervous until 2 days before my csection. Now I have my perfectly healthy DS sleeping in the next room.
You may be nervous the entire time, or you may allow yourself to relax. I think it's about making the decision to stress less. Worrying will not alter the outcome -- in fact, it could even work against you. Stress and anxiety is not healthy for the baby. Having said that, mine seems to not have any lasting effects from my craziness!!

I asked my mother if she ever had ms and she said as far as she can remember she did not so I am hoping it's just genetic and not a cause for concern but waiting till Halloween is a killer

Re: Will I be this anxious for 9 months?
I feel like a lot of my anxiety decreased once I could feel my DD moving around every day. Then it was like every day I knew she was good! (((HUGS))) Being anxious is normal!! We will worry about our babies for the rest of our lives!!

Will I be this anxious for 9 months?
I have gotten a little better between appointments but the day or 2 leading up to them I get really anxious. I am 16 weeks tomorrow, I hope it gets better.

I thought I would be but I've gotten less anxious as the days go by. Especially now that I feel movement!
