Why is this my problem???

My MIL sends me an email saying that she sent my stepmother an email yesterday (stepmom is hosting the shower) and she hasn't heard back. And can I email her in case it got sent to spam. Then she says "Times a wastin". WTH? Why is this my problem?? I told them that the only thing I want to know is the date and place. Don't bother me with the other crap. I don't need to know that NOTHING has been done about my shower so far (it's in 31 days,and they are in charge of invites). I knew this would happen. Am I going to have to take over or can we just cancel the whole thing?
So I just emailed her my stepmothers phone numbers and said "Give it time, you just sent it yesterday. And don't rely only on email".

How frustrating. I would call your stepmom in any event just to make sure things are moving. You can simply say, "I don't really want to know anything about the shower, as you know, but some people have been asking me about when invites will be sent, etc." Hopefully that will be enough to elicit some action.

Actually it's MIL who is doing the invites. And I told (inlaws and my mom) them a week ago to get in touch with each other, but she sits on it. My mom has already spoken to stepmom.

That is really annoying. In that case, I would get on top of them to get in touch and then be done with it. Sorry you have to even deal with this.
