President Bush declares that Tuesday will be a day of mourning for former President Gerald Ford, Reuters reports.
CRAWFORD, Texas (Reuters) - President George W. Bush has declared that Tuesday will be a day of mourning for former President Gerald Ford, who died this week, a White House spokesman said on Thursday.
Bush's declaration means that federal offices will be closed on that day. After a private funeral in Palm Desert, California, Ford's body is to be flown to Washington and his casket will lie in state this weekend at the Capitol. A service will be held at the National Cathedral on Tuesday.

From my own sources...if the stock exchanges are closed, those in Finance will be off as well!
I feel very guilty right now that i will be happy to get the day off but not happy that it's because someone died.... but the four day weekend would be really nice... Am I evil?

That's what I want to know!
I work at a public college, and I remember with Reagan's death it wasn't automatic for state agencies to be closed when it was a federal holiday, but the governor declared it a state holiday (is that what you call it?) so all state offices and orgs. were shut.
