Why do they count your due date to include the 2 weeks BEFORE you actually conceived?
I know when we had the .
So why does the website say that "We will use the more popular numbering, starting 14 days before your conception. According to this, you are already 2 weeks pregnant at the time of conception, making your total pregnancy last 40 weeks, or 280 days."
I still.don't.get.WHY.
does anyone have a reasonable explanation??

Because the egg is released and maturing.. then it is fertilized and turns into a baby.. so they pretty much count it at the start. Some sh*t like that..... I think

Because its easier to calculate the DD that way. Most people don't know exactly the day they ovulated, but they do know the exact day their period started.

Right. You know the first day of your LMP but you might not know what day you ovulated and there's no way to tell exactly when conception actually took place.
