Who's the tougher parent?
I feel that my DH lets our 2 yr old DD get away with most things. He gives in to her more than I do. I am def more tougher than he is. Who is the tougher parent at your house?

Definitely DH! Since I am with them pretty much 24/7, I pick my battles, where as DH makes a federal case out of many things that I would just shrug off.

I actually think DW are I are both equally as tough on DC. Our parenting styles are very similar, even without conferring with each other.

Me-DH is weak
DD1 tells him she wants brownies for breakfast. He tells her, brownies aren't for breakfast. She starts counting. He asks her way. She says you are going into timeout when I get to 3 if you don't give me brownies. Needless to say she had 2 brownies for breakfast.
DS is didn't like the applesauce DH gave him for a snack. He wanted something else. DH couldn't figure out what DS wanted so just kept presenting new options. Must have gone through 6 choices. DS go upset, threw the applesauce on the floor. And his milk. DH gave him back his milk and got him another snack. Me? you get 2 choices andif you throw anything food time is over.
And it doesn't seem to matter whi is tougher. DD is still a mommas girl and DS isall about daddy.

DH is very strict about bedtime. He says DD's bedtime is 8pm.
Well, *I* do bedtime, so it's when *I* say it is.
I like to get her down by 8:30 but sometimes she naps late and isn't tired at 8. So since *I* am doing bedtime and *I* have to deal with a cranky toddler, *I* get to say when *I* am putting her down.
Besides bedtime, I'd say we're pretty much 50/50 good guy/bad guy.

me, without a doubt. DH almost never disciplines, yells at or tells DSs no.
He never took that role with the dog so I knew I would be the one to do it with the kids too!
BOth my kids know that Daddy and Nonna are the push overs in our family!

this! Honestly, I am strict at work (I am a teacher) and then I do home cases afterwards. I am just tired of being strict when I get home and just want to love on my baby. Not that I don't discipline - just DH is tougher, but when DS says "oh please" with the look, i just can't stand it and want to give him everything! LOL
