Whole Foods--what is Good?

We have a brand new Whole Foods opening very close to our apartment here in RI!

I was just wondering if anyone has any favorites from here! IT opens tomorrow---so I aam planning to do the salad bar for lunch....

Any suggestions?

I love their cheese selection, their meats and fish, and their gring-your-own peanut butter!!

The fruits and veggies are way over-priced IMO.

The peanut butter is SOOO light and airy, like NO other peanut butter. ANd best of all, since you grind it,no additives.

I buy all my meat there. I love their meat dept. Pricey but quality meat without hormones added.

Re: Whole Foods--what is Good?

I went today and boy was it CROWDED!

But I am in love! I did not get to grind my peanut butter today because there was a line there to do itChat Icon

I hit up the soups and got potato leek soup, also got some gourmet burgers with blue cheese in them, and a cannoli (they fill as you order!)

I also bought some "florentine" cookies..

Have not tried them yet, and honestly, a little bit scared! But all the prepared stuff looked delicious!

Then when I was in line, some lady ran over my feet! I had on sandals!Chat Icon

EVERYTHING. I love their salad bar for lunch and their hot foods counter - TONS of great stuff there. They have lots of yummy organic less bad-for-you snacks and breads and everything else. Just make sure to keep track of what you're buying (groceries or salad bar), because if you're not it can add up FAST.

Re: Whole Foods--what is Good?

I heard a rumor that they're building one in Smithtown somewhere. But I have no idea where.

Their website doesn't have a location listed there yet. I hope they build one soon! We loved shopping at Fairway and Whole Foods sounds just like it.

OMG REALLY???? As of now, its just Jericho and Manhasset........I'd love for one to be closer. Let's hope the rumor is true

The seller's realtor for the house we're buying told me. She said near the mall somewhere - possibly right across the street.

I didn't see anything though, that's why I say a rumor. I hope it's true!!
