Who is hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year?
If you're hosting, or even just bringing a dish to someone's house..................
What is your signature dish? Would you mind sharing the recipe?

Re: Who is hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year?
This is my absolute go to recipe for Hors d'oeuvres at my home, or when I need to bring something.
I make the dough with GF flour and no bread crumbs if I need to do GF.

Re: Who is hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year?
Dh and I will be on a beach in Jamaica!!
But my go to app (and a family favorite for years) and so easy is ... Rumaki.
Ingredients: 2 cans of whole water chestnuts low sodium soy sauce 1 lb of bacon (cut package in 1/2) 1 Jar of Duck Sauce (and tooth picks)
Open, Drain, slice in 1/2 (vertically) and soak in enough soy sauce to cover (usually 4 hrs to overnight).
Preheat over to 375 degrees
Slice bacon package in 1/2. Wrap water chestnut with a slice of bacon, hold together with a tooth pick and place on bacon sheet.
Bake for 35 minutes or until bacon is nice and crispy. Drain and place in a bowl. Toss with Duck Sauce (enough to coat well the bacon).
Serve... its good Hot or warm or room temperature.

Re: Who is hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year?
I am hosting, as usual! I actually love hosting holidays.
My signature holiday dish is a side dish -- Carrot Souffle. Even carrot haters love this, as it tastes more like cake batter than carrots. It's really good with roasted meats, like turkey. But it's definitely a holiday indulgence.
It's a great holiday dish because you can make it ahead and refrigerate it. Reheat in oven or even microwave (to save oven space) before serving.
Carrot Souffle (serves 8 as a side dish)
1 2lb bag baby carrots 1 cup (2 sticks) of unsalted butter, melted 6 eggs 1 cup granulated sugar 6 TB all purpose flour 2 tsp. baking powder 2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Boil carrots until very soft; drain.
Blend with melted butter until smooth (I use a full sized food processor, but you could use a blender, a stand mixer, etc.)
Add in remaining ingredients and mix/blend well.
Pour batter into greased baking dish (a deep round dish, like a corningware or a souffle dish is best).
Bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes (until knife in middle comes out clean and its seems set). If it browns too quickly, lower heat to 325.

Shouldn't this get moved to the dining in or out board? Haha
Here's how i make stuffed mushrooms
I chop onions carrots celery and mushroom stems and sautée in olive oil with garlic. Then I add bread crumbs, chicken stock and white wine
Stuff the mushrooms then bake at 375 (I believe) for 45 minutes

My mom physically hosts, but her and I do all of the cooking together. Basically, she makes the turkey and pasta (Italian Thanksgiving) and I do everything else. LOL DH & I make the best stuffing ever. We actually have to make several smaller batches to send to our neighbors and friends. LOL It's terribly unhealthy- but so amazingly good and involves: loaves of white bread, chicken broth, onions, celery, sausage meat, bacon and romano cheese.
