Isn't Eisenhower Park a county park? What if they check for ID at the gate?

i've never seen anyone get ID's checked people drive through it all the time, even just to cut through to hempstead tpke

I know this was like 3-4 years ago - I went to go to Eisenhower park and could not get in because we were not Nassau county residents at the time. Most nassau parks should check for ids but they do not always. But if a space is rented and you are with the group they will let you in.

That's why I asked. I know they have in the past. About ten years ago we were planning a family reunion barbecue but not everyone was a resident of Nassau or LI so we moved to Bethpage State Park. A state park so they would only check to make sure we were state residents.
I'm not a Nassau county resident. I would think on big summer weekends they may check.
