Who is doing the "Black Friday" thing?

I always ALWAYS say I won't do my shopping on Black Friday but I ALWAYS end up seeing a flyer that has a stupendous sale on it and I end up running out to get that 'one thing' and then I'm out for the day..

My Dh and I have been doing it for a few years now!! We get almost all of our shopping done and are back home before lunchtime!!

DH and I will be... I havent done it in a few years, and he has NEVER done it. It should be horrible

I am a Black Friday Virgin and I'm very tempted this year to go for it. Can anyone tell me- do stores like Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, Best Buy, etc. have good sales? Or is it mostly department stores like Macys, Sears, etc?

Not me! I've spent too many previous years in retail dealing with Black Friday shoppers- this is my first black friday off! (no longer in retail) and I intend to enjoy it with DH and the fam!

Not in a million years would I trek out to jam packed stores when I have a house filled with leftovers

I do 90% of my shopping online.

I used to do it every year and it wasn't as bad as I anticipated. Not sure if we're doing it this year.

We are, but not how you may expect. we don't go out to get 'all the great buys' at the mall..... we go into NYC, roam around drinking eggnog lattes, see the rockefellar christmas tree, and visit the christmas markets in grand central and bryant park

we likely WILL buy some stuff, but its out of enjoyment, not frenzy

Im not sure if they are doing it this year, but last year Tanger opened at midnight thanksgiving night/friday morning. It was great, my friend and I got there around 11, ate pie in my car, and got all of our shopping done by around 430, we then had breakfast at the diner and went to kohls who had AMAZING deals

I think I will..I did it last year and had a BLAST and got REALLY good sales!

I only did it once (years ago when I had my 1st apartment....great sales on things I needed!)

I am willing to this year if I can find a great deal on a camera and camcorder

i usually do but dh has work early in the morning on friday so its home with the baby for me..its ok havent seen anything i need to go out..if anything i will try to shop online

I will! It's a family tradition for my sisters, me and my mom to go. It's actually fun to get up super early and be together...but by lunchtime..we're done.
