What in the heck is with your district? Do they expect you to work 366 days a year And all for a fraction of a LI teachers salary I am sure. What are they the 4th Reich?
I do (teacher) and will be working my a z z off this weekend. We are hoping to paint the entire house (4 bedroom colonial) this weekend
My back hurts already

that's what i thought... but apparently the reasoning is that if we have mlk jr day off, we'll have to take off all these other holidays or something (Like Lee-Davis day - which may schools celebrate in conjunction with mlk day... ironically enough).
But yeah, we didn't have columbus day, and don't have president's day either.
i do have 9 sicks days though (well, 8 left, since i took one today).
