Who else is staying home today?
I am 
There is no way I will be risking my babies in this weather.
I attempted to take my dog out this morning and went as far as the steps. She did everything right there. She was even sliding all over the place. I called in sick. I prefer to lose a day and a pay check than my precious cargo.

So far I am staying put. If it gets better late I "may" go in. I really haven't decided yet but for now I'm not going anywhere

I'm home! Not taking any risks out there! Snow I don't mind. But ice is just scary. I wish I had a job where I could go in "late" but as a teacher it is really go in or stay home. I hate losing so many days before my LO comes this month.

My office opens at 11, instead of 9 (I usually go in at 8)

I am going to be staying in until my complex puts some salt down. I just watched a neighbor fall twice trying to get to her car. I am not going to take that chance. My work schedule today is flexible (just going in to do stock - i work retail) so I can make my own hours today. I will play it by ear.

i made it into work. DH scrapped my car off before he left for work and i just took my time driving in. the southern state and 110 weren't bad at all.

Dh told me he wanted me to stay home so I did. Actually I think he stole my car keys so that I can't go to work just in case I didn't listen to him. (he leaves before I do )

Im home too....but Im lucky that my school district closed today so I didn't have to use a day. Im surprised we actually closed....most districts on long island have a delay.

well I'm not working but have two doctors appointments I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it to go to. . . not sure at this point. . I don't have to drive (I'm in the city) but def have to do a bunch of walking and am scared of the ice. . think I'll wait and see!

I wound up staying home for a second day. Yesterday at the dr's I had him write me a note for yesterday and today so I figured I'd stay home safe and dry. When I called my job this morning, my secretary said I made a "wise choice" and I emailed me principal to apologize for being out two days in a row and she said "no problem, enjoy the day." Now I don't feel so guilty!

I am working from home today. DH just tried walking to the corner of our street and couldn't because its a solid sheet of ice. I am staying put and going to play wii games today and read.
