Who drinks soda?
OK, I'll confess... I do have a soda a day- 1/2 of it. (At least I'll also have an apple a day! LOL)
So, I'm walking in the hall at work yesterday w/ my soda in hand and one of my co-workers yelled "I'm pretty sure you can't drink that".
I'm thinking- I'm pretty sure I CAN if I want to!
I smile and just keep walking.
Well, I'm going back to the kitchen to throw out the soda and she again is in the hall way and says, "I'm pretty sure your Dr. did not ok you to drink that!"
From everything I read, it's not that horrible right? Although, it is making me more gassy now  so, I'm trying to cut it out, but it's so hard.
I hate people and their comments- so nosey!

I drink soda. Pretty much a glass a night with dinner. I have hypermeiss and my doctor told me to drink soda if I can keep it down.
Listen, most things will tell you a cup of coffee a day is fine, and a glass of soda has less caffine than coffee.
Ignore it!
ETA: what a B!TCH!! Is SHE your doctor? Whatever!

I confess I am addicted to soda as well but I am really trying to be good about it. I try to buy caffeine free most of the time unless I am out to dinner. I excuse it by saying I don't drink coffee so one cup of soda can't be that bad. My mom threatens me that the baby is also going to be addicted to the caffeine and cry when she's born when she no longer has it. So that makes me a little nervous but I don't think it's true.

Seriously, people need to mind their own business.
Weeks ago I got a tuna sandwich. I was waiting to see if someone would say something, and of course one of my friends did. "Are you supposed to be eating that?" I replied with, "Yes, you can eat light chuck tuna like once a week. My doctor isn't concerned, so I don't think you should be." That shut her up. But, I digress...
Yes, I drink soda. I have a can a couple times a week. I don't drink coffeee ( never been a fan), so I don';t feel guilty about drinking it at all.

I was never really a big soda drinker when I was home - unless we were out to dinner or something. I will have a few sips when we are at a party or something. She's not your doctor - tell her to mind her own business!!!

Sometimes I do...it depends...if I am really craving it, I will have a glass of it. I try to limit to just the glass, but everything in moderation!!!

I do..and honestly if anyone drinks coffee it's the same thing. I can't be without my soda..at least 1 a day.

Exactly!!! My Dr. didn't freak out when I asked her- so...
Just a total nosey bioatch! I figure she just has nothing else going on in her life, since she'll comment on what I eat for lunch everyday too! 
I had the concern that she'd be addicted to caffiene and go through w/drawls once she's born too. I got over that real fast when I thought longer about it. It's only 1/2 a can w/ caffiene. The rest, I'll have a sprite if I have sode.
I just can't believe some people!

The only time I will drink soda is if I hadn't had my coffee that day.

Yes I drink soda I would say once a day I like soda I drank it before I got pregnant and I figure since I don't drink coffee it's OK. Tell that lady to mind her business

your co-worker is a pain in the neck!
I love soda and have cut back - but have not cut it out during this pregnancy. Everything in moderation.
I never developed a taste for coffee, so soda gives me a nice caffeine boost.

I dont' drink most soda with caffeine, but that is more b/c the only non-diet soda that I actually like is ginger ale and sprite.

same here. Some Drs are very strict with caffiene consumption so maybe that is where she heard that from. And then if you get the diet with no caffiene there is an issue maybe with the sweetner.
Honestly I hate when people think they can give me Dr advice...it irks me. I have someone at work who did this to me a few weeks ago. She totally stalked me in our cafeteria & told me that everything I picked up I was not supposed to eat...yeah whatever, like I did not ask my Dr first.....friggin psycho

I think I'm just totally in shock that this woman has made a few comments about what I've been eating and now, the soda comment was so loud in the hallway that everyone could hear!  As if????
I would never comment on what anyone was eating, it's their body and baby.. IMO.
The only comment I've ever made in my life was when this girl smoked throughout her entire pregnancy! OK- that drove me to tell her I didn't think it was fair to the baby!
I guess I was due for someone to finally put their 2 cents in (well, strangers that is, family has given me a penny bank full so far)

i have diet ginger ale or caffeine=free diet pepsi every once in a while... i've switched to flavored Poland Spring water mainly. My doctor said in moderation - they don't know enough. if you can find the ones with splenda are supposed to be ok.
