who do I call
I want to change my thermostat to a digital one. Who do I call to do this?
Electrician or Plumbing/heating co?

DH is unfortunately not very handy. I usually call my dad to come and help with house stuff. But I think I just want to call someone and get it done quickly.

Either one can do it. I had the heating co. do one for me when I first moved in. This time I am having a friend who is an electrician do the rest.

either one can do it. actually, after seeing it done, it is really easy. you might be able to do it! (my DH is not handy at all either!)

Its easy to do it yourself, but if the thermostat is for your furnace, it might be 120v thermostat (as opposed to the 24v minivolt ones).
You don't want to get bit by one of those so make sure you cut the power to the house before doing any work. Changing one of those is really no different than changing a wall outlet.
