I agree but depends if you're getting convertible furniture or just nursery furniture. I think white doesn't grow with a boy as much, but you can get away with it for a baby.

Re: White Furniture
Flip through a PB Kids catalogue - they make white look very gener neutral, and cute for either sex. We are considering white.

diito especially if it's a convertible crib. No teen boy would want white furniture..

Re: White Furniture
I love white for a baby but as they grow older it's more appropriate for a girl. If you are going with white, I wouldn't do antique white, just white. We kept going back and forth b/c we love white also but ended up going with mahogany for a boy

Re: White Furniture
Neutral, put dark bedding with it and it’s boyish later in life.. really hate it, then paint it… its white already.
I love art projects and I totally expect my child to say “Mom, I want something different” and we’ll break out the paints and paint the furniture in her room. Its about expression of her tastes and I’m ok with that. My child’s room will not be a museum or art deco furniture exhibit. It will be a disaster area with her own twist to it. What I like for her as a nursery is my choice since she really doesn’t care, but as she gets older my tastes will mean very little. Ha!
