So I just got my washer/dryer this weekend and I'm so excited to use them. So far I've been using the bulky items setting bc I'm catching up on all of my laundry and found that this is the best setting for the larger loads. It fills up with more water and washes longer. What are your other favorite settings? I tried the normal and it didn't fill up with as much water as I would want it to. I'm sorry but to me, HE or not, my clothes have to be submerged in water lol

The HE washers always submerge the clothes in water - it covers all the clothes, it just doesn't fill the water all the way to the top if there is only 5 shirts in there. Bulky items is really meant for comforters, rugs, stuff like that.
I like the dark clothes setting and the towels/sheets setting.

I agree.
I typically use Normal and dark setting. I like the whitest whites when I use bleach.
I use the sheet setting for bed sets, etc. I rarely use bulky unless I'm doing rugs or my comforter.

I think I know what I did wrong. I just threw the clothes in covering the wash plate. I think you're supposed to arrange clothes around it since that's the sensor. I'm going to try again. I hope my machine is not defective.

I'm doing my whites as we speak and the clothes are not submerged in the water. There's very little water in there. The clothes are wet but they're not submerged in water.

I just bought this set, waiting for delivery. From everything I read (and I read TONS!) there's a bit of a learning curve to the machine, especially when you're coming from an agitator machine. I don't have it yet so can't opine but excited for a new set!

Re: Whirlpool Cabrio owners
Let's teach other then! lol I love the dryer and the machine washes great on bulk/sheets but I need to figure out the normal and deep wash cycles.
