Had J&J yesterday. Last night was one of the sickest I’ve ever been. Wayyyy sicker than I was with covid. Will probably never take this shot again. It’s possible I had such bad side effects because I had covid so recently even thou they told me I wouldn’t.
My sister in law had the same experience but she had a 2 dose so it wasn't J&J...not sure which of the other 2 it was though. She never had Covid though (that she knew of) She said she's never been sicker in her life than after her second dose. It only lasted overnight though
I feel like I poisoned myself for something that was never going to make me personally very ill. Maybe I’m wrong about it but I was barely sick with covid and this was the worst I’ve felt in my life. I will never get it again.
My Niece works as a Nurse in NYC and said for us to not take J&J. There alot of things swirling about that one in particular.
Like what though? What are they saying about it?

I’ve taken many vaccines and have given my children all required vaccines. We have NEVER gotten sick after taking one. Maybe a little sore arm, it never sick. It doesn’t sit well with me, it just doesn’t seem right that a vaccine makes a person so sick. And if you get sick that means your immune system is working....what’s it mean if you have no side effects?!?! It’s too confusing for me right now.

The J&J is giving some blood clots and they are scaling back on the number of vaccines they are delivering.

Dammit, I was having high hopes for the J&J. It’s doesn’t seem to be looking good right now for that vaccine.

Unfortunately these are all new and we don't know what will happen. Four people have gotten blood clots after J & J...I'm not panicking yet, especially since there is nothing I can do. It's also not a guarantee you will feel sick after J & J, I had it, no reaction but a slight sore arm for one day. I had more of a chance getting blood clots when I was on birth control and I smoked cigarettes. All we can do is hope that majority will be ok.

Re: Which Vaccine did you get?
Pfizer:
1st shot: *Arm soreness & stiffness set in about 2 hours later & lasted for about 2 days *Tired as soon as I got in the car, lasted for about 2 hours.
2nd shot: *Fatigue set in about 2 hours later & lasted about until the next night. (I manage to go the grocery store, but at times it was full-body fatigue like I had when I had radiation.)
*Arm soreness & stiffness immediately, and lasted until the next night. Slight soreness if touched remains on day 3.

This. And that the formula is not mixed right all the time. There are rumors of Fetal stem cells in this one. Of the vaccines, you should trust pfizer.

The covid vaccine from J&J is not and has not been the only vaccine that involved fetal stem cells unfortunately.

Re: Which Vaccine did you get?
Here's a fact check on the J&J fetal cell issue:
https://www.healthline.com/health-news/no-fetal-tissue-wasnt-used-to-create-the-jj-covid-19-vaccine#What-are-fetal-cell-lines,-and-why-are-they-not-fetal-tissue?
I got Moderna. First shot, sore arm and fatigue/slight headache the first night. Second shot, overnight I had chills and sweats but no fever, sore arm, and was really tired the next day. By the following day I was fine.

Re: Which Vaccine did you get?
So they've "paused" distribution of the J&J vaccine due to concerns over blood clots.

Re: Which Vaccine did you get?
I had pfizer. About a week after first shot, I got a swollen painful red and blue finger. I still have it 8 days later and am only putting together now it may be from vaccine. Was going to go to dr for it if it was not better by end of week. It's a very strange thing that never happened to me. Swollen and painful. I am due for second shot next week. Not sure what to make of this.

Your PCP. You can probably do a telehealth visit and get antibiotics quickly.
I used to get this due to nail biting when I was younger. I suggest you soak it in warm epsom salt bath to relieve some of the pressure followed by soaking it in betadine.

But Sunday I started getting tenderness and pain in arm pit/ lymph nodes That lasted 4-5 days
I’ll admit I was nervous with that but I had a mammogram 2 weeks prior and heard this was not uncommon.
Experiencing this new symptom today. 2nd dose of Pfizer was on Saturday and I have painful swollen lymph nodes in my armpit.
Glad to hear I am not the only one with this symptom! I got my 2nd dose of Pfizer on Tuesday and I didn’t have any side effects except I woke up this morning with pain in my armpit, almost like when you get an ingrown hair? Hurts...hopefully goes away soon.

Honestly, that sounds like a normal reaction because when you're body is fighting a virus or in this case, building antibodies, it's very common for lymph nodes to swell.

Yes true. At first though I forgot that I had my vaccine and I was a little worried, like whats going on?? And then i remembered seeing this post from last week and started reading through responses and I felt better when I saw others had the same :)

Re: Which Vaccine did you get?
I got my second dose of pfizer vaccine on Monday. Zero reaction. I was more sore this time around- felt a little stiffness in my neck, but otherwise felt great. And the soreness was not significant enough to affect me in any way. I still held my 2 year old with that arm, slept on that side, etc.

I got the second shot last week and this time, my collar bone was super tender on the same side as the shot.
Turns out, your lymphatic system includes lymph nodes there! Learn something new every day! Went away within 2 days though.
However, this time around I had body aches and chills. That lasted less than 12 hours though.
