Which refrigerator with poll

What are the pros and cons of each? I am really indecisive and everyone I know is telling me something different. TIA

I'm not a fan of side by sides at all. I like my refrigerator to be wide. We have a freezer on bottom that I like, but since the freezer is small, we also have a full stand alone freezer in our garage.

I love my side by side--my parents have the freezer on the bottom and I do not like it as much

My mom has the freezer on the bottom and I think it holds more than a side by side. MIL has a side by side and I feel like things are always jumping out at me when I open the door..I need to take caution when opening.

DH and I will be purchasing a new fridge as our Christmas present to each other and we are looking at the Samsungs, just not sure the French door with freezer on bottom or the French door/party platter draw with bottom freezer.

I have a side by side and hate it. Not a lot of dishes fit in. Never a cookie sheet which I need a couple times a year. The door shelves take up most of the fridge.

My brohter has the fridge on top and I think he gets SO much in his.

My parents have fridge on bottom and I find it a pain in the butt to have to bend down every time I want something.

my parents had a side by side and went to a bottom freezer and love it

I grew up with freezer on the top (which I think is my preference), now I have side by side. I like the side by side because I don't have to bend to look in or get something, but the annoying thing is that I can't fit very wide items into it. I don't think I'd like having the freezer on the bottom, because of having to get down on the ground to dig through it.

My parents have a side by side and I never feel like you can get anything in there. We have a freezer on top. I would love french door fridge on top with freezer on the bottom.

ETS: I think my kids like having the current set up because they can open the fridge and grab cheese, yogurt, fruit, and drinks.

I hate my side by side, I never feel there is enough room, can't fit wide platters etc...

We have one of each....

Platters and big things go in the freezer-on-top fridge, and most of the time we use the side by side. It's great for DC, since they can reach a lot from both the freezer and the fridge (they're old enough to get stuff out on their own).

we have a side by side in the kitchen and an old freezer on top one in the garage. When we bought the side by side we decided against the freezer on bottom cause things get burried to easily.

I had a side by side. The freezer is SMALL. My parents have the freezer on the bottom, and its huge.

we had a side by side and just moved into our new house and got a french door with freezer on the bottom

my ONLY complaint about the french door/ freezer on bottom is the standing room in the fridge. We had to remove a shelf in order to have enough room to stand up taller items and even still, its odd.

i really like the freezer space, much better than in the side by side. I also feel that I can fit more.

i wish i had a freezer on the bottom, we have a side by side now and i feel we don't have enough freezer space

I don't like my side by side either. It's narrow and the freezer is so small. I had a freezer on the bottom in my last house and loved it. So much roomier.

I love my side my side, so much easier to organize everything and I think there's a lot more space as compared to my sister's freezer on the bottom

i never had a side by side growing up or as an adult. my in laws have side by side and she can't put a large tray in the fridge when she makes food. she is always cooking the day she is going to a party to bring it with her.

i hate my stainless steal. we have a kenmore. we have 4 tiny dings in the fridge, freezer and dishwasher. i don't think other people see them but i do. i have a 2 year old but she only did one of them. guests did the others and they didn't even realize they did.

Our house came with a side by side (old) and we just bought a bottom freezer fridge to replace it. So far, love it!

I actually like side by side because I feel like the freezer portion is bigger. But you do lose the width for storing bigger trays. We originally got one because my old dog used to know how to open the fridge door. She was completely confounded by the side by side doors.

Thank you all so much for the input!! I think we are definetly leaning towards the bottom freezer. I actually decided to keep the old refrigerator and put in my basement so storage should not be a problem!! Thanks again
