Which Photoshop are you mommies using?
I guess it's time to break down and buy a program to edit my pics. I HATE technology, so I've been reistant to doing it until now 
I don't want to spend more $$ than I need to, but I want to be able to get the crisp, sharp look to my pics, convert to B&W, etc.

I'm using PS Elements 6. I suuck with it but I'm sure if I made an effort to learn it I could do more, there's SO MUCH you can do. I also bought PHotoshop for Dummies, thanks for hte reminder I'm going to try to read that one of these days!!!

I personally HATE photoshop, but Photoshop Elements, which is pretty basic, should be good. You can download different actions and stuff too!

I use CS3, but you can get away with Elements.
The sharp crisp pictures happen when you take the photo. You can sharpen a photo for email, FB & the web & it will look a little sharper but it will be unprintable. Sharpening something that is blurry won't make it crisp. It will only pixelate it.
WHen you take your photo, you should be as steady as possible. Depending on your shutter speed, you can blur action or have it be stop action.
Resistance is futile.

I use CS...thats because my brother hasn't downloaded a newer version to my computer yet 
but it works just fine for me

I also HAVE Elements. I'm not going to say I USE it b/c I really suck at it. I'd love to have the CS so I can follow along with suggestions that Barb has for how to do stuff but it's just out of my price range. I'd rather invest the $ in a DSLR camera and good lens.
