which cruise to take-another questions

My husband and I are thinking of going a cruise in the fall. I was wondering if anyone could recommend one that is not a party cruise? Also, I looked at Norwegian and saw that if you book a suite you have a private pool area, I was wondering if anyone knew of any other ships that offer that?

Thanks for all the input..have another question, what travel agent did you use to book cruise and did you buy your airfare through them or own your own?

Re: which cruise to take

Dh and I love Princess. We have also enjoyed Carnival and Celebrity. The only cruiseline we didn't like was RCCL.

Most ships have an adults-only pool that is usually very quiet. I wouldn't pay for a suite just for the pool area, IMO.

Re: which cruise to take

been on
princess-I went when I was in my upper teens for a family reunion-we had a great time, but it was an older crowd-maybe 40's/50's the food was EXCELLENT

celebrity-honeymoon cruise- European- Older crowd-plus about 30 -35 honeymoon couples- we had the best tiem here! the food and service were top notch!

Royal-crowd-20s /30s I liked this the best as far as fun goes-food was very good too though-

Carnival-we went for a new years eve cruise with BIL and BILs GF-had a great time- fun-lots of kids though- I didn't like the pool area- food was good, but not as good as the others imo-

and we are doing another royal in one month-I will give another review when we get back

enjoyed them all, but have different things to offer- depends on what you are looking for..

My favorite is Royal though, but would do any of them again

Carnival is def for a younger crowd IMO
Princess was more of a 20's & 30's crowd. I liked it.
My parent's always travel on RC and love it!
Celebrity is a little too old of a crowd for me.

We are trying Norwegian next year and can't waitChat Icon

Re: which cruise to take-another questions

I've been on 3 great cruises and to me it seems like they are all party ships.
