Which Britax carseat? Advocate, Blvd or Marathon?

I need to get a convertible carseat. Which Britax do you recommend? I saw the Advocate which seems really safe, but so bulky.

I have 4 Marathons. I love them and they are easy to install! Chat Icon

I have the boulevard and think it is great. I am glad that I did not get the marathon because my DD that just turned 3(4/18) would already have been over the weight limit and we would have been buying another seat.

Re: Which Britax carseat? Advocate, Blvd or Marathon?

We have an advocate...and while I have NO DOUBT that DS is super safe in the seat...i'm not a huge fan. It is SUPER bulky and DS does not like it much b/c he can barely see (still facing backwards)....we're going to turn him in 2 months or so...but he gets frustrated.

I also don't like that I can't hand him things (toy/bottle/paci) b/c it is so wide and puffy that I can't reach (and I have long arms)

I like Britax, but i'm not sure I would go with the advocate again. We were getting it free...so we figured we would go for the most expensive ....hindsight is 20/20 I guess

I have the advocate, marathon and roundabout. Out of all of them I love the roundabout the best.

My DD who is 3 is in the Advocate. It is very bulky. It had the side impact head thing which makes it difficult for her to see out of the side windows. If I had it to do over I wouldn't get it again. I have no doubt that she is safe but I like the other models better.

Us too. We have the Advocate and I love it! DS is 19 months old and a big boy (95th%ile for height and weight) and still rear-facing, no complaints from him. He may not be able to see from the sides but he can see out back and that's enough. He seems quite confortable and I really feel that he is safe. I manage to reach to the back to hand him something if I need to but for the most part you shouldn't give kids anything in the car anyway so I rarely do.

Oh, and we have a 2-door coupe and even so, the seat fits in there great and we have no issues.
