I may be the minority, but I'd do the ornament. It is something they'd have on their tree (assuming they celebrate Christmas) every year. $5 is not a lot, so why not give them something that will last? I wouldn't see a real value in a $5 gift card and I'm thinking a good brand lotion would be pretty small for $5.
