Where to go after Dr.Browns
My one month old is incredibly gassy. She is up all night with gas pain. She also has a milk allergy and is on rx formula. Because that is so broken up, I really think the gas is from what is swallowed during feeding.
We started out on Avent Natural then moved on to Dr. Browns because we heard they were the best for gas reduction. But there really hasn't been much of a difference. Has anyone had good experiences with playtex or born free or anything else? Specifically with babies who were excessively gassy.
Btw, we tried gas drops and gripe water to no avail.

Where to go after Dr.Browns
At this point I wouldn't bother changing bottles. My DS was so gassy and there wasn't much we could do other than massage and do bicycle. He grew out of it around 12 weeks. It sucked and there was very little sleep for us and him.

We did the same as you. Changed bottles but did not change again since using dr browns. DS was the same way as your DD at that age. He would scrunch up on pain. Have you tried little tummies gas drops. Made a world of difference for us. Good luck!!

Re: Where to go after Dr.Browns
We started with Dr. Browns, but also tried Born Free, due to DD's pediatrician's suggestion. He said that they worked well for his DD. We saw no difference, but DD has a lot of feeding issues, even now at 7 months. One of my friends started her DD with the Born Free and loved them.

Re: Where to go after Dr.Browns
I've heard the drop ins are good. I put little tummies in every bottle or target brand. Dr said they don't do anything so I stopped and she got gas bubbles and cried. Put drops in again- no more crying. She is on aliumentum too.

We also give her malox 3 x per day as well as axid which helps with pain.

Re: Where to go after Dr.Browns
I found the playtex really helped as we pushed the air out before feeding her. Super convenient too

Re: Where to go after Dr.Browns
I used Dr. Browns and Born free, changing the bottle wasn't the problem. Both of my kids have/had milk protein allergies, and were/are on alimentum formula. Doc told me to put gas drops right in the mouth, not in the bottle. It helped, but didn't solve the whole gas problem. It took about a good 3-4 months of gas issues before it subsided.

Re: Where to go after Dr.Browns
i have born frees and ds love them. I was forunate in not having to try any others. We have medelas because i pump- but they are horrible. So i would pump into the medelas and then transfer- he had gas issues as well. at 6 months, he is doing great, love the bottles as well.

This is what we did also. We used the gas drops, alimentum & dr. Browns.
I would continue to use the drops even if you don't think they worked...I am sure they are doing something & may possibly be doing something. Maybe it's not all gas & the "WITCHING HOUR" my son cried EVERY NIGHT for 3 months from 6 to 9pm

Where to go after Dr.Browns
This is the point we are at, DD is is 7 weeks old and very gassy as well. We started on avent naturals, then switched to dr browns, then switched her formula but it's not really helping with the gas. I've heard that playtex drop ins are good but I spent so much money on these damm bottles I'm not switching again. We do gas drops, bicycling legs, massaging tummy etc. If she's having a really bad gas attack I give her some gripe water but I don't like to use that stuff too often...
