Where should we hang family pictures?
We need some help.
We want to display family photos on the walls (probably a grouping of frames), but we do not know where to do it.
here are some options:
1. staircase: but there is a cut out with the door bell
2. eat in kitchen/DR area. we could remove the orange flower picture off the wall.
3. small wall, we could remove one or both of the pictures. the side with the swing is in the living room, the other side is eat in kitchen/DR. The wing will be taken out in the next few months and we have a table that is normally there.
4. leave it all as is

I would close up the cut out with the door bell (it looks out of place) and hang pictures going up the stairs.

I love fram collages going up the stairs, so I vote for that. Just work around the doorbell!

Thanks. That is a possibility and DH said he wOulddo it, but we are on the fence bc its just part of how the house was made... Its def a consideration though

Any of these would work especially with some cool frames. I just put these up on our site. You can purchase them directly from the vendor.
Trio Frame or perhaps the Ensemble Wall Frame
Love love love these. Planning to replace mine with them.

If you put them on the stairs, have them high enough so your shoulders don't keep banging into them every time you go up the stairs.... or so I've been told...  
I measured the height of my shoulders while going down the stairs, but that's a different height than your shoulders going up the stairs.....

I would do them up the stairs as well. We have ours in our hallway to the bedrooms (we have a ranch)...
As for the doorbell, we ripped out our doorbell here-- it was probably original to the house (1961) and very big, ugly and dated looking. I got a new wireless doorbell at Home Depot and I actually never even hung it-- I have it resting on top of a kitchen cabinet. It's hidden because it indents a little. So, now we have nothing hanging on the walls!

That is such a great point Shawn, thanks! We have pics up in our hallway and I find I have to be careful not to bang DSs ead on them when Im holding him

Thanks Randi. This is def something we are considering. Dh said he would do it and the more I think about it, the more I think it would look nicer without the cut out there. It is kind of wierd there.
