Where does your 2 year old sleep when you travel?

DS is almost 2. He currently sleeps in a pack and play when we visit family. Tonight when I put him in it, it seemed tight. I'm assuming he can only use it for a few more months. We are doing a lot of traveling this summer. So, where does your 2 year old sleep when you travel? DS is still in a crib at home and will be for the foreseeable future. At daycare, he's in one of those toddler cots, but I'd like to keep him contained.

Dd has a travel crib- the lotus crib by the Guava family--she loves it.

We used a pnp until closer to 3,after she was in a toddler bed at home. After that, we use an air mattress or cot but I stuck with the pnp as long as possible.

My dds slept in the pnp for a long time...they always curl up anyway so I never worried about it...as long as they were in a crib, they stayed in the pnp...someone gave me a toddler sized blow up bed that has higher sides so she can't roll out...we might use that eventually, but for now, we are sticking with the pnp.

Both my girls used pnp until they were at least 3.

Mine also used the pnp until closer to 3. Then we switched to the regalo toddler cot.

We went away for a night the week my dd turned 3, and she's in the 95th percentile for height, so she was already about 39 inches tall, and she slept just fine in her pack n play. She was touching both ends with her head and feet, but the sides are soft, so it didn't seem to bother her.

My DD slept in the pnp till she was closer to 3. Then she slept in a regular bed. I lined it with pillows on both sides and she slept in the middle. We always book a hotel room with 2 beds.

DD slept in a pack and play when we traveled until she was about 2 1/2. When she transitioned to a twin size bed at home, we always booked a hotel room with 2 beds and then I would just bring the rails from her bed with us and hook them onto the hotel bed

Most large hotels (and even medium ones) have gotten cribs for us. We have gotten them on cruises & foreign countries too. They are metallic & actually are sturdy & great. Our DD is a big fan & sleeps on them now. She's a sizable 4 year old (wears size 5 clothing).

DS who is 5 sleeps on a couch/chair with ottoman when available. We stick to a few hotel chains where we know these are always in the rooms.

The baby usually sleeps with me.

So... I would say, check if the hotel can supply a crib.

We had inflatable child sized beds that my kids used until they were nearly 5. They were great and easy to travel with.

I'm buying a cot from a person on a fb buy sell group. Just got him sleeping in his own bed, not allowing him to regress on vacation

We bought a kids aerobed for DD when we travel which has worked great.

We got the phil & teds travel crib. Its super light and fits in luggage. We used it when we traveled abroad and put it in our luggage.
