I went to Costco this time in Holbrook and I love my glasses. 
I have been everywhere over the yrs....Pearle, Lens Crafters, Cohen's Optical, etc., etc., etc. I like getting new glasses, I try to think of it as an accessory!!!

i went to cohens at broadway mall and had a HORRIBLE experience. never again! so this is just my heads up to you

I had a GOOD experience at the Cohen's in Roosevelt Field and a terrible experience at Lenscrafters at the Source.
It's probably all in when you go and who you deal with!

Very good experience at an independant in Long Beach. Bad experience at Wize Eyez in the Tower Records shopping center - Massapequa Park.
I have no idea where to go in Suffolk.

I had the opposite experience there. I got ripped off. I went to the Cohens in Massapequa and they admitted i was ripped off :( For me, I decided to buy my frames on line and get the lens anywhere that takes my insurance.

Usually straight from the doctor's office, they have a store also (on Madison Ave.). The pair I am wearing right now I got from lense Crafters. I've also been to Cohen's and a neighborhood store. the store at my doc's office is the best one so far, then lense crafters (though they are really expensive).

Maz Optical!! I think they have 3 locations. I know of one in Holbrook and one in Patchogue. I really like them there

I go to Davis Vision in Plainview and I think they are great over there....never had a problem with them, and they have a great selection of glasses When I was younger, I used to go to Dr. Wollman in Bellmore....don't know where he is located now, but he was great as well and had a nice selection of lens.

Pearle, but you cannot go by me, my sister is an optometrist . I have heard some good things about Cohen's too, and there is also Vision people in Bellmore I heard are good . HTH

DH got new glasses at Pearle Vision in Oakdale a few months ago. we ordered the contacts through visiondirect.com since they were a lot cheaper.
we have vision coverage now and as soon as I get our ID cards, I am going to Pearle as well. DH had a very positive experience and the Doctor was really nice.
