Where do you buy kids shoes?
I have a very hard time finding shoes for my DD. She is 13 months and wears a size 3. Where can I find shoes that aren't sparkly, have characters, crazy patterns or something else decorating the shoe? I just want something versatile and plain. I have only put her in soft soles, she refuses to walk in anything with a hard bottom. She has some shoes from Carters (crib shoes) and a few robeez, also some from etsy vendors. Looking for some more options.

Stride rite outlet (Tanger in Deer Park and also in Lake Success shopping center in New Hyde Park) the step 2 shoes are great. They are soft soled, but a little thicker then robeez.
Kids who are just starting to walk shouldn't be in hard soled shoes anyway. It can inhibit the proper development of the muscles on their feet, ankles and legs. A Dr told me once for kids you should be able to hold the sneaker and bend it more then half way.

I also was having the same issue with finding shoes that weren't glittery, bright pink or with characters on them, just not my taste. I found thats how most of the shoes at stride rite were, nothing neutral. I ended up getting her pink converse and a pair of pumas but I would love other suggestions.

Stride Rite - outlet and regular stores, Nordstroms (I think they will DEFINITELY have more of what you are looking for), Lester's, Marshall's shoe shop... Also, online, if all else fails - zappos.
