When your child climbs out of a pack n play....
DS figured out how to climb out of his pack n play a couple of months ago and we haven't traveled with him since then. He's 19m and sleeps 11 hours a night in his crib no problem, he also has a crib @ grandma's house.
We're going away with him for a few days in July, do I put him in in the pack n play & hope for the best? I have a travel video monitor that I can watch him on ( he goes to sleep at 8:30 and were staying in a house w/ friends).
The one time he climbed out was during the day, when I put him in it while I was getting ready. I saw him put one leg over and caught him before he fell out.
What other options do I have? He doesn't sleep in a bed, ever.

When your child climbs out of a pack n play....
there are some companies that rent baby items. My SIL used to do this when they traveled to california. Maybe there is one wher eyou are going and you could rent a crib.

Not to scare you but my DD started doing that around the same age, and fell trying to climb out at 22 months and broke her arm. She fell onto our hardwood floor so not sure if your PNP will be set up on carpet but I would put pillows around it just in case.
Would he fall asleep on the couch or something with you and then you could put him in there asleep? That might help with the climbing out issue maybe.

Oh wow, thanks for your reply. We have a down featherbed mattress topper that I'll put down on the floor around the pack n play. I'm so sorry that happened to your DD

Once my guy climbed out, I never put him back in just bc of the test of him hurting himself.

I caught my DD trying to climb out of her crib and since then she sleeps in a sleep sack and she never tried to climb out again (she is now 27 months and is still in her crib and still wears her sleep sack.) We just went away for a week on a cruise and she slept in the pnp fine.
