I usually unpack, just because I like everything organized. But it depends on how long I'm going away for. When I went to Vegas for a week I lived out of my suitcase because I was sharing the room with 3 other girls so it got messy.

Suitcase.........I can never be comfortable to put my stuff in "public drawers"..........the "unknown" germs would just freak me out.
Besides....I like to lock the suitcases up when we leave the room.
ETA: The only things I do unpack are all toiletrees and shoes.

Well my DH is Lt Anal! But I still live out of a bag-he unpacks. He finally got it when I say worry about yourself!

both... I hang as much as I can, and leave undies and bras and socks in the suitcase...I like to keep everything organized though, so I know everything that I have

same here. and depending on how long we are somewhere, if I can, I like to get the laundry done there and come home with it all clean.. (but it wont interfere with any fun time )

For hubby and I, vacation can't begin (especially cruises) until we are unpacked and organized!

I never unpack, no matter how long my trip is, except for the toiletries.
I know I'll forget something in a drawer, I like to lock up my bags when I leave and I skeeve the thought of my clothes in drawers that other people use.

Suitcase. I will hang up stuff if it needs to be hung, but everything else stays in a suitcase. I only unpack if I will be living there. I have travelled a lot and not unpacking allows me that extra time (even if it is 1 hour) to sightsee or sleep a little extra.
