Re: When you and DH are houseguests...
in my case, it is already planned that we are spending the night there.
but great point...so I am guessing this crowd thinks sneaking into the restroom is wrong too?

here's a suggestion, why not take care of "business" before you leave to go there

We stayed at a friend's ski house, I stripped the bed before we left and threw them in the wash. I did not stick around to dry them though. When you invite a married couple over, isn't it kind of expected that they will do that?
I would expect it...
Not for me, I invited them to my home to be guests and spend quality time with them. I EXPECT people to act like adults and contain themselves rather than teenagers who can't figure out the correct time and place.
Even if they are married?
Yes ma'am. I would probably cut a little slack if I knew that they were TTC because I know how hard it can be and the timing is crucial. Other than that though, honestly, can it not wait a few days? We never have guests that have stayed for more than 3 or 4 nights so I just don't get why they would. PLUS I am a bit of a germaphobe which may explain (or at least help you to understand) my stance.

I understand your opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
It's just interesting all the different opinions we all have.

I guess I was just thinking, it is NYE and we are going to be feeling good...going right to bed seems like the perfect way to wreck a good night.

Re: When you and DH are houseguests...
I'm going to my friends house for a party and I dont plan on having sex anywhere in their house.
If I threw a party and found out someone was having sex in my house I would be p*ssed off. Its a party, go home, after the party and have sex!

No sex = Wrecked night? That I don't get at all. How about cuddling? Spooning? Talking? It's not all about the ACT of sex ... there is so much more

IMO this is different. If you are only going to be at the party for a few hours, then I would be annoyed.
But if the couple is staying the night in my guest bedroom behind closed doors it is different.

Heck, half the time we don't get it on at home so I can't imagine getting caught in the moment when we're not at home!

Re: When you and DH are houseguests...
No, I could not bring myself to do it.
The only time Dh and I have been houseguests, we stayed at his cousin's house, in his 13 year old daughter's room. No way could I even think about it.

We never have, both of us would be very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, we are TTC and will be at his cousins home this weekend, which is the best time for us. We still won't do it though.

Yeah....I for one don't want any of my friends or their significant others a$$ cracks on my sink, toilet, tub. Why not just go outside and do it in your car?

I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that in a friend's house, and I'd hope my friends could restrain themselves for a night at our place.

thanks all. Being that DH's side is shared with many I won't press the issue. I don't understand it, but I will accept it.

I was thinking the same thing as long as we are happy and together...Cuddling into the new year I think it great !!
Just wanted to say I think personally As a grown women having Sex in someone elses house during the party (even after) or using the bathroom for a quickie is gross rude disrespectful.....if you need it that bad stay home and do it all night !
