When would you send out invites?
For a birthday party on June 25th? (Kid party at a place- inviting the classmates and friends)

Now. End of June is a busy time with parties cause of Graduations etc.

Probably by next week. I would want the final head count minimally two weeks before the party so I had enough time to track who I need to and get favors. I tend to order stuff online so I like having enough time for it to arrive.

I was just worried that if I sent it TOO early it would get lost or forgotten.
I guess I'll write them out this weekend though

Maybe now for friends and a little closer for classmates. I feel like classmates are going to wait to see what else comes up so if you wait until 2 weeks before you might get a quick response.

See i feel like if they have something important like a graduation of a family member, they are going to chose that over a classmate's party no matter HOW early I send the invites out.
But I'll send them this week

Now. June is booked solid for us. Dd is getting invited to a party on June 10th that I'm trying to figure out how to get her too because we have a baptism early afternoon and this party is early morning.

I worry about this too but have sent them out minmally 4 weeks a head of time but I thin most of the time I do closer to 6 weeks. I also then get aggravated because I have the RSVP date only 2 weeks before hand and everyone waits last minute to RSVP so my mom told me I need to start sending them out later or making the RSVP earlier. I will be making the RSVP earlier 
we once got an invite for an August birthday party in june but I assume that was because she we weren't in school to get them later.

Definitely now. We got an invite 2 weeks ago for a party on June 22nd. The end of June definitely gets busy.

Now that I am thinking about it, I had her party last year around the sane weekend and sent the invites out the very last days of May I think ir maybe even June 1st and most everyone made it. A few couldn't make it but no more than a normal yes/no ratio. I actually need a few no's to stay under the limit.
But I'm a lazy slacker so who knows....

Me too. I have a lot to learn. My DD isn't going to have many friends with a mother who can't keep up with the children's party circuit

We are getting July invites now... but as long as the people who you really would like to be there are free, you can send anytime.
That being said, I was annoyed getting 3 weeks notice for my niece's birthday... we already RSVPed to a friend party and needed to cancel the RSVP.
