well i wear white socks w/ them - and i dont think i look like michael jackson or poindexter.
i think if you are wearing a jogging suit or sweatpants - why would you have black socks?
black socks = trouser socks in my mind - which work with dress shoes not sneakers.
i wear the white socks.

I dont wear black athletic socks. If I am wearing sneakers no matter what color they are, I wear white athletic socks. They do not rock the Michael Jackson look. Now black dress shoes on the other hand.....

Same here. My athletic socks aren't even visable when my shoe is on.

None taken. I just decided to buy a pair since sometimes I'll wear something that doesnt have a spec of white in it an I feel akward with white sneakers on. They are nothing fancy, just sketchers. But I like the tight fit, not bulky like your average sneaker.

Oh good! I really didnt think you were gonna like them. I got them at DSW and they had a really nice selection of black sneakers. The ones that interested me the most were diesel, nine west and sketchers. Let me know if you finally take the plunge to the dark side.

I recently took the plunge... with Black Suede Pumas!
ANd I have to say - I love them!
They look really cute w/ jeans & a black turtleneck! - I never thought I would like black sneakers either.
But, I am ashamed to say, I wear them w/ white socks (which don't show, but still).... I am

I wear black socks when you can see the socks...
i have some really tiny white ones that can't been see above the sneaker and sometimes I will wear those.
Mine are skechers.
