when to switch to level 2 nipples
how do i know when to switch and whats the difference?

They have a faster flow. I always used the age listed on the package as a guide.

we just switched and DD is 3.5 months. The nipple is much faster....she is done soo quickly

DS is 7 1/2 mo and i never changed out the nipples. He already had reflux issues so i didnt want to upset him by giving him a faster flow. he does just fine and still sucks those bottles down.
i dont think its necessary to change them. but use the age guides on the packaging as your guide.

We use the playtex ventaire bottles. DS was having issues with the nipples a while back so I switched to the level 2 ones. He choked on them. Then I read on here that you can use Dr. Brown's nipples on them. I went and bought the stage two in them and they work great. And they are cheaper...

We use Born Free bottles and nipples. DD#2 switched to Level 2 nipples when she was 2 months old. We gave her a Level 2 by mistake (DD#1 was using them) and she did well so we just kept them. The flow is faster. When your DS is sucking really hard on the Level 1 nipple, it is time to switch to Level 2.

Like the pp' said the flow is faster. We just switched to the level 2 nipples, dd will be 6 mos in a couple of weeks

Hi Mich! Hope you and baby are doing good. I just switched DD a week or 2 ago, she is 8 wks now. She was falling asleep and losing interest in her bottles. She didn't finish any of them. So I switched, it took her a few minutes to get use to not sucking so hard, but she has been fine ever since and has been sucking em down. She also has a slight touch of reflux, but I have not found it to be any different with the level 2 nipples. I still use a level 1 for her last bottle of the day because she seems to get a little gassy and fussy at that time, but the rest of the day she does great.
