When to start counting DPO?

So on Thursday I got a on my OPK.

The following is going to be TMI but I wanted to know from you girls if you think that missing the day after getting the smiley is bad...
DH and I BD'd on Thursday and Saturday and are planning on it tonight (We were supposed to BD on Friday but he drank a little too much and passed out. Needlesstosay I was a little mad at him on Saturday but he made up for it!)

So back to my subject of this post...what day is the first DPO?

Also, if you could comment if you think missing the first day after the is bad.

Once you get the smiley you should ovulate within 12-36hrs after. I think you will be ok since BD on Thursday and then got Saturday too.

So IF you got a smiley on Thursday, then I would say Friday or Saturday you "O". Then whatever is the day After Ovulation is the 1st DPO!. I would say Saturday is "O" and then Sunday would be your 1DPO.

I would think your 2 DPO...

Thurs + OPK
Friday "O"
Sat Post "O" (1 DPO)
Sun (2 DPO)
