When to BD
I know this sounds like a crazy question but if I can't ask you girls I don't know who I could ask . I'm only on CD 7 but I want to prepare myself. Last month I got a reading on OPK on CD 20. I BD the night before, that night and the night after..Obviously didn't get pregnant this month. I want to make sure that I BD every other day this month but starting on what day of my cycle?? Should I BD on CD 14, 16, 18, 20 (assuming that I will get a OPK reading this month too????) and 21????? I know that a lot of girls said that they have gotten pregnant from BDing before they Oed. Thoughts??? TIA!!!

Re: When to BD
don't start your routine too early... you will 'waste' DH's 'reserves'
Ask your DH. If he thinks he can handle 3 days in a row, go for it. If he thinks its too much of a strain, it likely is and you should BD every other day.
I was antsy to get a I thought I missed it. We started BD'ing too early, and were really tired by the time I got a ... try to avoid that situation...
If you really want to make sure you will not miss your surge, I saw it recommended on another site that you get cheap OPKs and test 2X a day.
My advice? After you get your BD that day, and as much as you can the 2 days afterwards. (not more than once a day though.... need time to restock )

Re: When to BD
Do you think starting at day 14 is too early? Should we start at CD 16??? I think you are right!!! This month I got a positive reading on OPK with FMU (didn't know you weren't supposed to use that) and then I tested when I came home from work and still had . I tested the next morning just to see and I didn't get a positive. Is that weird????

Re: When to BD
AF just ended, & we (ok, ok I... ) decided that we are going to start BDing every other day from tonight until I get my . The we'll BD 3 days in a row. That's about what we'd be doing anyway, except for the 3 day marathon I suppose, even if we weren't TTC (sorry TMI ) so I guess we'll give that schedule a try.

Re: When to BD
thanks for your input...What CD do you usually O? I O pretty late so I'm afraid to start our marathon too early. I figured this week we will still BD for fun and then next week the chore begins...haha. What do you think?

Re: When to BD
here's what I'd do....
BD as normal until you get EWCM, or about 3 days before your normal O date. Then O every other day until ... That day, you ramp up to every day (or every 1.5 days.. whatever DH thinks is best) for 3 days.

Re: When to BD
How long are your cycles? My cycles are typically 34 days long. If I started on CD 10 it would be way early for me. I'm confused. I want to make sure that I'm BDing at the right time so that I'm not wasting any precious material

My cycles are anywhere from 29-34 days. I figure if we start with the BDing as soon as AF ends, we're covering all the bases in case I have one of my shorter cycles. Last month I Od on CD 19, but I know some months I likely O earlier.

Thank you so much for your input. For me I Oed on CD 20 this month which was shorter then last month. Last month I Oed on CD 28 and got AF on CD 42. I'm hoping that my cycles are getting shorter because I have been off BCP for a while now.
