We didnt have this when we painted our dining room red= and I'm glad we did.. it promotes exactly what we want it too!

Same for our den- green- calming, comforting, serene!

Yeah- after reading this site I think I will paint green. I was orginally thinking a light orange but after reading "evokes excitement, enthusiasm and is an energetic color. While not a good idea for a living room or for bedrooms this color is great for an exercise room."...I don't think that is the mood I'm going for with a newborn. haha. More of a calming, relaxing and comfortable atmosphere- so green it is!

So true. I picked hte color for DD's room based on my feelings and what I want it to represent.

So I picked a bright pink. I kept saying to DH "I want the room to feel cheery" and that's what I was going for. Most of the others rooms in my house are painted calming colors, but for some reason I really want to feel very cheery and upbeat in that room. I purposely avoided ballerina pink or light pink b/c I wanted a really bright room with vibrant color to represent how I feel about the baby coming!
