I had my strep-b test at 36 weeks and assumed I would also have my first internal that day. My Dr. didn't want to do an internal for another week, but I asked her to do one. So I guess every Dr. is different.

OK--cause I think I may have started to loose my plug. I saw something in the toilet that may have been it, but I am not positive (sorry for TMI). Should I mention it to him. I don't want to be embarassed if it wasn't

Losing your mucous plug isn't something to call the DR. about but you should definitely mention it at your next appointment. And don't be embarrased at all if it wasn't your mucous plug. You've never done this before, so how are you supposed to know anything for sure if you don't ask.

I always hear 36 but I had mine at 31 bc I had a stomach virus and for some strange reason they swabbed down there. SO I guess you are right in the vicinity of getting it done. There is probably not a specific time just maybe after 30 weeks.

Im getting my strep b done next week ... Ill be 36 weeks then. I think she said they would check to see if I am dilating yet! Which is exciting!
