When should I go see my doctor?
Im on CD39 and Af still has not shown her ugly face! I just went off the pill last month after being on it for 10 years so I dont know if this is normal or not. Do you girls think I should go talk to my doctor or should I wait a little longer?

Re: When should I go see my doctor?
I would wait it out a bit longer. It can take a few months for your body to regulate. My body has regulated and my cycles are 40-42 days long so I think if you get to 50 or 60+ days, then maybe see the doctor. Good luck, I know it's frustrating!

ITA! The first few cycles after coming off BCP can be really wacky. Like pp if you get past 50 or 60 days I'd call the doctor. And if it were me I'd call if it didn't see things starting to regulate after 3 or 4 cycles, just to be on the safe side.

Re: When should I go see my doctor?
How were your cycles before going on the pill? I was VERY irregular as a teenager before I went on bcp and was told I probably had PCOS. I waited till CD60 and went to the RE where he confirmed I have PCOS.
Now I'm starting my first cycle of meds to get me to O.
For reference, I went off in November.......

I actually have no recollection of how my cycles were before going on BC.....which leads me to think they must have been somewhat regular since I never noticed.

you would remember, trust me! Honestly since you don't have a history of AF issues... I would wait it out till CD50(ish) and then give a call to your gyn to see what he/she suggests

Re: When should I go see my doctor?
I have PCO's and figured I would ask the doctor how long I should go with out getting AF after stopping the BCP before seeing a doctor (grant it your not pregnant) and she said to definitely way at least 3 months. It can take several months to regulate!! Good luck.

Re: When should I go see my doctor?
After I came off of the pill my cycle was normal, but then I had a wacky few months were I went 43 days...I had my normal GYN appointment and the doc said it may have been the stress of ttc , my body regulating the hormones as I came off the pill, or my body starting to ovulate after 10 years...I would wait a few more days and then call. My cycle ironed itself out after 4 months. Good Luck!
