When PG - going from RE to OBGYN??

Assuming this PG "sticks" and progresses normally, I know my RE will do my sono at 6 weeks and then if all is well, she will release me into my OBGYN's care, but bc I am a Dr Hanauer patient and I know she has a long wait, I am wondering if I should just call her office and try to make an appt from now? I know I am getting ahead of myself, but I just dont want to have to wait like 2 months to see her after the RE releases me?

You can call now, but I believe most OBs will not make a newly pregnant woman wait and will usually get you in. At least that's what my OBs office did.

10 weeks is okay though (it's just a nervewracking wait) I was released by my RE at 8 weeks and my OB didn't see me until I was 10 weeks.

I would call and see what they say

i will wait until my bloodwork results next week when i will be around 5 weeks along and then i will call i guess...even if i have to wait about 6 weeks after that, it will be fine.

Re: When PG - going from RE to OBGYN??

i was going to an RE. I went for all th etsting and was going to start the IUI when I got AF but never actually got AF. But the RE still wanted to see me every week for a while to do sonos and blood because my progesterone was low... but, both the RE and Hanauer's office took me in right away..

Re: When PG - going from RE to OBGYN??

are you on progesterone? If so, your RE will prob not release you until 8-12 weeks depending on your numbers.

If your not on progesterone, you can def call to make an apptmt with your OB- aim for 8 weeks.
