When legailizing a fence in the town of hempstead, how much do the property taxes increase?

But you need to pay the town to get a permit and Certificate of Completion, I thought that meant taxes go up, no?

I do not believe so. It's just to make sure the fence meets requirements for the town (and they make a quick buck from you for the permits too). But taxes, no they do not go up for a fence. It's not living space, it's still outside.

None. :) Like a pp said, just paying for the permits. It's more time consuming than anything.

no, not as long as the fence was placed in the same sot as the old one (or very close to it) in any event i dont think taxes will go up (dont quote me on this, maybe every town is different) but they may charge you a fee or something.
