When is the best time/ how often to pump?

DD is almost 3 weeks old. I just got my pump this week and I would like to start pumping to build up a supply so I can start giving her a bottle on occasion. I'm not really sure how to go about starting to do that. Is there a better time to pump? Do I pump after every feeding? Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Morning is always best. I feed dd from one side then pump the other after the first feed where I am up for the day.

I also pump some days whenever I feel engorged after I feed dd. No need to pump any more that that if it is for the occasional bottle. I am going back to work (not for almost 2 months) so I like to have a freezer stash as a cushion.

I pumped about 30 minutes after the first morning feed. It was just for a small stash for the occasional bottle so I only did it a few times a week.

i also always pumped after the first morning feeding. that was just the most convenient time for me

DS is 5 weeks so I'm still trying to master this, I try to build up some for the freezer and some for the ability to have a few glasses of wine on the weekend I pump after the first feed and before I go to bed most days (DS goes to bed at 8, I go to bed at 10), if I have time during one of his naps I'll also pump then.
