when is hCG detectable?
immediately following implantation? 2 days after? how long after implantation can a HPT detect hCG?

by HPT at minimum around 10dpo but more reliably 12dpo or later
blood can detect earlier but levels would be very low

I'm pretty sure they say blood is 2-3 days after implantation and HPT is 7-10 after implantation.

the issue is this ...
my normal cycle is 30/31 days. my last AF was 12/8. I think I O'd late this month (12/28ish) which would make me like 9DPO today. Either I'll have a short LP and get my period tomorrow OR my period could be due more like 1/11 in which case, it's too early to test.
Is it more common for your LP to change if you O late or your cycle is just longer?
I think I am grasping at straws. I bet i get AF tomorrow  I tested this AM, obvious BFN.

LP is usually consistent. I have wacky cycles but I always get AF exaclty 2 weeks after my surge! HTH!

No you are not out!!!! If implantation happens say 5dpo, and HPT detect 7-10 dpi, that puts you at a min of 12 dpo when it can detect hcg.

ugh, it was SO easy with DS. DTD 3 times and was pregnant month 1  wish it could always be that easy!

arghhhhhh...........
apparently some of the test pick up at differnet HCG levels.......
the ones I bought Clear Blue Digital are at 50 hcg, yet some other digitals and the dollar store ones are at 25hcg..... and it said it could take 2-3 days for the number to double.

I've read it can take up to 2-3 days after implantation for a BLOOD test, and 3-4 days after that for a urine test to register hcg....so I'd think the earliest after implantation it could be a bfp would maybe be 5 days w/ a hpt?

my LP is usually 14 days too....so I'm hoping I'm not out yet either based off of that and when I had my smiley, time has never moved so slow for me this past week!!
