When going over RR tracks do you...
Put on your hazards??? I know buses need to do this but I have been seeing more and more regular motorists doing this. Is there are reason for it? Are we supposed to do it?

Me neither...Honestly I try and get over them as soon as possible...I see people slowing down and putting on their hazards

that is what i thought this thread was going to be about!
funny story: last time i went to sicily to visit my family, i told them to do that. But they go over RR tracks at least twenty times a day. When I went back in October, a bunch of people in the town that i didn't even KNOW were doing this BUT they didnt know why
i started a trend!

I don't put my hazards on, but I slow down, look and listen.
Maybe the person putting the hazards on is doing the same thing but just being nice and letting the person behind him know they are slowing down?

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe you said that!!! I STILL do it....even when I'm driving!!! I have NO idea why I do it....it's just become a habit that I can't break!!!
I swear...I thought I made it up myself...nice to see other (nuts) have heard of doing it as well!!

My mom is a driver for a local district and yes I think she has done this once or twice while in her car. LOL
Me, I have never done it.

When I'm in the pickup truck with DS, I say "Get ready for the big bump!", then I go over it at normal speed, and we bounce as we go over the tracks....  With the car, it bottoms out, so I don't do that...
Do people pick up their feet even if they're driving, or just as passengers? I would hate to know that there are people driving without their feet near the pedals!
