when do you stop the bedtime bottle?
DS is almost 12 months and I still give him his last bottle right before bed. sometimes its on the changing table while i get him into his pjs (if he isnt tolerating the wait  ) sometimes its while he is in my arms and we rock and "talk" 
we will be going to milk soon, do we continue with the bedtime bottle?

We just stopped now...faster than I had expected but he did well without it. Makes me sad though not to have that time rocking him while he has his bottle.

No help here, but DS is almost 18 months and still needs his night time bottle... If you want to wean him, start now. We had him off for a little while when he was sick last month, but things were crazy after that and he needs the comfort of his night bottle...

I am not there yet ( dd is almost 11 months) but I am imagining a sippy of milk before going to bed maybe as they are playing. Or reading before bed. As it is now for me she's only taking in MAYBE 10 oz of formula so I don't think this will be hard for me

Jordan still has his bedtime bottle. He's 15 months on Thursday. Didn't realize I was supposed to stop it.

He stopped at 12.5 months. I was doing sippy cups of milk during the day and still a bottle for bedtime. He now gets 2-3 sippys of milk throughout day. Bedtime routine is bath, book, and bed now.

As long as you brush their teeth after the bottle there really is no reason to stop it if you dont' want to.....He's not taking the bottle to bed with him so it's fine...

Sorry for the stupid ?, but is it bad if they take a bottle to bed? My boys do some nights now and I guess I planned on switching that to sippy cups once they turn one?

Are you acutally putting the bottle in the crib with them? The problem with that is their teeth are bascially in milk/formual all night and it will cause tooth decay..

Some babies will sleep with the cup actually IN their mouth (suck for a few seconds, snooze, suck for a few seconds, snooze, etc) and the milk stays on their teeth while they're snoozing. If they have a bottle or cup before they're put down to sleep, their saliva will 'rinse' away at least some of the milk/juice sugars before they fall asleep, helping against bottle rot.

basically don't let them fall asleep while drinking the bottle.. use it for cuddle time..then.. brush teeth.. then bed

Ann is 22 months and we still do milk before bed as part of the routine. She doesn't always drink it all though.
