when do you put up your REAL christmas tree?
how far before christmas do you put up your REAL tree? and how long do you leave it up? just curious

last year i put it up dec 4th and took it down the first week in jan. this year we will do the same. Putting it up the first weekend in December

I will probably wait until the second week in December - we will be away the first weekend.
We tend to have trees dry out in our home so I like to wait a little longer so I can have it through New Years.

I want to put it up the day after Thanksgiving since we are having our twins 2nd birthday party on that Sat. and I think it will look nice. Not sure if we can do that though with Thanksgiving and all. probably take it down NY Day

We got out east and cut it down the day after thanksgiving. It lasts until the first weekend in January.

we are probably going to go the first week in december to get the tree
ETA: i get kinda tired of christmas decorations so i usually start taking everything down the day after... idk what i will do this year... depends if it still looks good or not.

Our house is a sauna so we usually put it up the week before Christmas and take it down Jan. 6th...but I'm totally paranoid about fires so after 1/1 I probably won't turn it on.

last year we put it up sunday of thanksgiving weekend and it was in bad shape by xmas. in the past i've put it up about a week after that.
i like to have the tree around as long as possible bc i love it

In the past we got ours about 2 weeks before christmas... now we are cutting down our own so we're going the weekend after Thanksgiving.. we always take it down New Years day.
