When do you file for short term disability?
Do you file once you give birth or are deemed unable to work or do you file it way in advance? Im so confused with this..

I actually just filed, at my job you have to set it up before you go but I'm not sure if that's because my company is paying me the difference to make up my full pay. Talk to HR!

With my job too like the pp said we file before the baby is here.

At my job you file 2 weeks before your Due date or when you go out if before then. I called the day after I gave birth since it was a 3 week early surprise.
I do not know what you have to do if you are filing with the state.
