When do they stop crying every day?
At what age do they stop crying over everything?  18? 25?
In all seriousness, when DO they stop? Not that I'm complaining...I'm not. I'm not being snarky. I'm not anxious for him to grow up. I am just truly curious.
Today, DS cried over:
taking his diaper off
putting his diaper on
washing his face
combing his hair
putting on his sneakers
putting his cereal in the to-go container
That was from 7:11-7:24 am.
Then tears were shed over:
taking his diaper off
putting his diaper on
washing his face
taking off his shirt
not walking with him to the fish tank
not letting him play with the fish net
putting on cars instead of Thomas
putting on the WRONG Thomas
not letting him use my fork
I'm sure there were more times but we weren't together.
So around what age do they not have so many meltdowns? 
I don't think this one can be answered on the milestone chart.

Ha!! good to know 'J' isn't the only child making noise in our building, at least 'L' is helping out 
We are going through the same thing. However, I will say that it has gotten better over the last couple of months. It was worse a while back.
This morning (and pretty much every other morning) he cried because I put socks, pants, a diaper and a shirt on him. Then he cried that I don't put a Thomas shirt on him.
When I told him it was dirty, the tears started rolling and the screaming to 'CLEAN IT NOW' started.
When I walked away to get ready for work, he cried because I went to pee...he literally screamed 'NO!!!, no do pee pee!!!"
He calmed down but it started up when I told him it wasn't raining inside and he couldn't open his umbrella.
The car ride to my moms set off whining because he wanted to drive to the super market...literally he WANTED to drive.
I love him...

Dd is 2...if she's not crying she is whining
Today from 9 to 915
I don't want bfast
I want to go to night night
Once there I want to eat
I want mommys pancakes
I want to sit with mommy
I want night night
And repeat all in tears

There is not a day that goes by- actually an hour that goes by- that my DD doesn't cry or whine about something.
The whining is pretty much non stop.
The crying- with real tears and red face and emotions- at least once an hour.
It is MADDENING.

I saw something similar- a dad did a blog documenting his son's tantrums with pictures and the reason for the tantrum.
Some were so hilarious!
Examples:
It took me more than 0 seconds to take off his shirt
This milk is NOT juice
He asked for rice- I gave him rice.
He poured a cup of water over his own head in the bathtub
Grandma did not allow him to pour a glass of water on her.
His brother sang along to the radio

Jesus, this sounds like my house too. But in between the tears and whining are the incessant demands every 8 seconds: I need a drink, I need a marker, not this marker, I need a pen, I need a snack, I need I need I need......!!!!

My DD#3 is 3yr old and cries for anything all the time. It's so much crying that I have learned to ignore her. DD #2 did the same thing at that age. So it's def a stage thing. It should stop around 5. DD#2 is 6 now and her new phase is that she knows it all. But I'll take that over crying any time.

Hahaha, too funny. DD does this too. She wants me to sing with her, then I start, and she gets pisssed and has a meltdown. 3 more years of this? Yay, can't wait.
