When did your newborn start smiling?
DS is 6.5 weeks old. I've gotten a few smiles from him that weren't related to gas, but nothing on a consistent basis yet. When he smiles, I always try to figure out if he's smiling at me or if he's smiling b/c of gas. 
When did your DC start to smile on a consistent basis? I love when he smiles. I'm looking forward to when he smiles more often.

my boys starting smiling at us around 9 weeks....
they smiled before that, but not "at us" until then

I was worried about this. I got what I was pretty sure were a few smiles, from weeks 5-7. At around 7.5 weeks, I could get smiles consistently. Now at 9 weeks, she will smile at others (not just me). It melts my heart. I die when I see it.
I screamed so loud when she first smiled at me I scared the poor girl.
